Savannah Reed, LCSW, therapist at Renewed Wellness Counseling in North Carolina

Savannah Reed, LCSW

Let’s talk about something that matters a lot: YOU. You might be going through a rough patch, feeling a bit lost, or maybe there’s this big ol’ goal you’re trying to reach but just can’t seem to get there.

We all hit moments where life feels heavier than it should. Whatever it is, I’m here to help you navigate through those choppy waters.

You’re not broken or “too much.”
You’re human.
And therapy can help you make sense of it all and feel a little lighter in the process.

What I’ve learned is that everyone has a story worth hearing, and sometimes we just need a space where we don’t have to hold it all together. My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and focused on helping you feel more grounded and in control, even when life feels anything but.

What We Can Work On Together

This is your space, free of any judgment, where you can openly share and process all of life’s challenges, whether they’re from your past, happening right now, or worries you have for the future.

We’ll take a closer look at patterns or experiences such as:

Past trauma that still influences how you connect with others

Anxiety that feels hard to manage or explain

Difficulty setting boundaries or prioritizing yourself

Self-doubt that gets in the way of confidence and calm

Life transitions that leave you unsure of what’s next

Let’s make sense of what’s been feeling heavy

My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and a step closer to where you want to be emotionally.

It’s okay if things seem overwhelming at first; I’m here to guide and support you through every step of the journey.

How I Help

My style is all about you! I hold a person-centered philosophy at heart, believing strongly that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to therapy

In our sessions, think of us as a team. We’ll use some super effective approaches like:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

We’ll work on identifying and changing negative thought patterns that may be affecting your emotions and behavior. It’s like rewiring your brain to have a more positive outlook!

Solution-Focused Therapy

This method is all about focusing on what you want to achieve/future goals rather than focusing on the problem. We’ll identify your goals and work on steps to reach them, fostering a sense of hope and positivity.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

This approach helps if you’re feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions. We’ll learn skills to better manage these emotions, improve relationships, and live more mindfully.

EMDR

We’ll work on processing past trauma and reducing its emotional impact through guided eye movements. It’s a way to help your brain heal and move forward!

I’m a trauma-informed therapist with additional training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). Understanding that past trauma can affect your current mental health is key. We’ll create a safe space where you can explore these experiences at your own pace.
