Appointments and Rates


Free 15-minute Consult

Both of our counselors offer a free consult to answer any questions you may have about teletherapy, my therapy approach, verify insurance (if necessary), and ensure they are a good fit for you. Please reach out to schedule this and provide a little information about yourself.


Initial Intake Appointment – 60 minutes

This is the “Getting to know you” session. This appointment consists of reviewing your history, current challenges, strengths, and goals. It also helps you become comfortable with the format of online therapy.


Individual Therapy – 45 - 55 minutes

Individual appointments are typically held weekly or every 2 weeks, depending on clinical need. This will be discussed and agreed upon with your counselor to make sure it is feasible for you.

Rates vary by length of appointment. Please contact us to discuss your needs and options.

If you cannot afford therapy, Sliding Scale fees are considered in times of financial distress. (An arrangement that needs to be agreed upon in advance)

Do you accept Insurance?

Currently, Renewed Wellness Counseling is in network with the following insurances:

  • Medcost
  • United Health/Optum
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Aetna
  • VA Community Care
  • Medicare
  • Health Savings Accounts
  • I am a Tricare Certified Provider

​If we are out of network with your health care plan, we will be glad to help you with billing and provide you with a “Superbill” to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

How do I know exactly what my health plan covers?

Our counselors always do a benefits check prior to scheduling your first session, however, we encourage you to call as well, so you are informed.
Questions to ask include:

  • Does my specific plan cover teletherapy?
  • What is my deductible, co-pay, and/or cost share?
  • Do I need a referral?

Do I have to use my Insurance?

No, you do not have to use your insurance. One of the benefits of self-pay is that a diagnosis code is not required. In order for insurance to cover therapy, they require a diagnosis. Some people seek counseling for minor life issues and do not necessarily have a diagnosis. Others prefer to defer this diagnosis so that it does not interfere with other areas of their life. Your and your counselor can talk more if you have any questions about this. Your comfort is most important to me.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Renewed Wellness Counseling accepts major credit cards and HSA’s. You can pay conveniently through your client portal.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand to avoid a late cancellation fee.
