Meet our team
Marcy Arnold, LCSW, LCAS, LISW-CP
I founded Renewed Wellness Counseling in 2020 to make therapy more accessible to people, especially those who had difficulty getting to traditional appointments.
It is my privilege to serve people in North Carolina and South Carolina as a licensed clinical social worker and clinical addiction specialist.
Due to my frequent relocations as a military spouse, I have worked in multiple clinical settings treating various mental health concerns such as Anxiety and Stress, Parenthood and Balancing Career, adjusting to Life Transitions, Depression, Addictions, Co-dependency, Chronic Illness, and the Military Lifestyle.
My purpose in healing is to empower you to find freedom from old wounds and areas of struggle, let go of fears, grow in confidence, thrive in relationships, and create the life you truly desire.
I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of social work and received my Master’s in Social Work at Florida State University.
I am trained in:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, and Mindfulness, to create mind and body harmony. I tailor the therapeutic approach to each client’s individual needs. I am also a Lyme Literate Therapist, I have the tools and knowledge to help you manage chronic illness.
Kim Hunt, LCSW
I offer my therapeutic services to all of North Carolina.
No matter what your situation – whether you are grieving lost loved ones, dealing with a difficult life change, working through past wounds, figuring out who you are, or simply feeling stuck – I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported.
I come from a medical background, treating end-of-life patients in hospice care and patients with autoimmune disorders. As a trauma specialist, I understand how trauma re-wires the brain in an attempt to protect you, but it can also be holding you back from enjoying your life. I have also worked closely with patients with a neurodivergent disorder, highly sensitive people, as well as those with level 1 autism.
I graduated from High Point University with a Bachelors’s in Psychology. I then went on to receive my Master’s in Social work from Spalding University.
I am trained in:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Christina Steger, LCMHCA, NCC
I offer my counseling services to all of North Carolina.
My background in counseling includes work as a school counselor, where I have worked with many students with anxiety and ADHD. I am passionate about helping people thrive and live their most fulfilling lives.
I have experience working with children ages 8 and up and their families, as well as young adults. I am particularly interested in helping individuals with career and life transitions and helping children and adults manage anxiety.
I graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and received my Masters of Education, with a specialty in School Counseling, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I am trained in:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBC), and Reality Therapy. I also have experience using Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. I understand that each person is unique and adapt my counseling to fit the specific needs of the individual.
We love empowering people through the process of therapy and watching them achieve a RENEWED WELLNESS – happiness, confidence, and fulfillment in life. We believe that in order to feel whole, processing your story AND identifying coping tools, are equally valuable. Together, we uncover underlying “blocks” leading to distorted thinking.
Let’s connect, no matter where you are!
It is important to us for therapy to be accessible to everyone, which is the main reason we are an online-only provider. Throughout the years, we’ve noticed people having difficulty getting the care they needed due to work schedules, lack of childcare, illness, lack of local resources, and other commitments. We don’t want that for you. Online therapy can be held at your convenience in a place you’re comfortable in, allowing more time for other obligations in your life.
