Therapy tailored to you.
At Renewed Wellness Counseling, we believe mental health care should be customized to fit your specific needs, goals, and life circumstances.
Our team of therapists takes the time to understand what makes you unique. No two people are exactly alike, and no two therapy journeys should be either.
We make it easy to access care, whether online across North Carolina and South Carolina or in person in New Bern, NC.
Why We Started Renewed Wellness
Sometimes the best solutions come from personal experience.
Our founder, Marcy Arnold, was navigating her own chronic health challenges while trying to balance family, work, and everything else that life demands.
The problem? Finding mental health care that actually fit into real life felt nearly impossible.
Traditional therapy meant taking time off work, arranging childcare, and adding yet another appointment to an already overwhelming schedule. Even worse, many providers didn’t understand how physical health, life circumstances, and mental wellness are all connected.
So she set out to create something different. A practice built for people who need therapy that meets them where they are, both literally and emotionally.
Today, Marcy’s mission is simple: to be the therapist she wished she’d had during her own difficult seasons – while providing the flexibility people need to actually get the help they keep putting off.

Why Renewed Wellness?
The name “Renewed Wellness” reflects the work we do.
“Renewed” is about rediscovering what may have been lost along the way (your energy, confidence, or belief in your own strength) and building on it to become even stronger.
“Wellness” represents returning to a place of balance, wholeness, and a deep connection to your true self.
It’s a guiding principle woven into every session, whether you’re joining us for counseling from Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, New Bern, or anywhere you call home in North or South Carolina.

What We Value
Real Understanding
We see you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. We take time to learn your full story, not just symptoms, but how your relationships, health, environment, and experiences all connect.
Flexibility That Works
Some days leaving the house is hard. Some weeks are busier than others. We work with your reality, not against it.
Getting to What Matters
We help you understand patterns and create lasting change. Even the uncomfortable stuff that might have been avoided before.
Authentic Connection
Many of our therapists have lived through the challenges they help others navigate. We bring real-world understanding, not just textbook knowledge.
Quality Over Quantity
We stay small on purpose. We are big enough to have specialists for different needs, but small enough to really know each client.
Complete Transparency
Clear communication about our process, fees, and what to expect. We believe in ethical practice, which includes making appropriate referrals when needed.
Our Team
Each therapist on our team was intentionally chosen to be a part of Renewed Wellness Counseling because of their specialties, training, and lived experiences.

We’re not just a group of mental healthcare providers who happen to work together. We’re a carefully selected team where each person brings something unique.
Our team includes people who understand:
- Living with chronic and invisible illness
- Military culture and deployment challenges
- The complexity of motherhood and identity changes
- The emotional weight that comes with relationship ups and downs
- Trauma and how it can show up in your life
- Being "the strong one" when you're exhausted
- Feeling misunderstood by healthcare systems
When we match you with someone, we connect you with a therapist who truly understands what you’re going through and can help you get back to thriving, not just surviving.

Where We're Headed
We’re expanding to better serve our community. This fall, we’re adding more in-person therapy options in New Bern, NC to support our Eastern North Carolina community, because some people heal better or simply prefer face-to-face care.
Our mission stays the same: Quality mental health care that actually fits into your life, whether that’s in person or online, whichever feels most comfortable for you.
Ready to Find Your Match?
Whether you’re new to therapy or ready to try something different, we’re here to help you find the right fit. You don’t have to do this alone.
Welcome to Renewed Wellness Counseling
Life can be overwhelming. Between juggling work, family, health, and the million other things demanding your attention, it’s easy to forget about your own needs. I know this all too well. As a mom, a professional, and someone living with chronic illness, I’ve been right where you are – running on empty, with therapy feeling like an afterthought because there just doesn’t seem to be enough time or energy left.
That’s why I founded Renewed Wellness Counseling in 2019 – to create a space where therapy fits into your life, not the other way around. Therapy shouldn’t be something that adds more stress; it should be the support you need to feel like yourself again, even when everything else feels chaotic.
– Marcy Arnold, LCSW, LISW-CP, LCAS

Our Mission
The name “Renewed Wellness” is more than just a title -it’s a reflection of the work we do. “Renewed” is about rediscovering what may have been lost along the way -whether it’s your energy, your confidence, or your belief in your own strength – and helping you restore and enhance it. When combined with “wellness,” it represents returning to a place of balance, wholeness, and a deep connection to your true self.
At Renewed Wellness, our mission is simple: We’re here to help you rediscover your inner strength, so you can regain a sense of balance in your life. We believe that every person has a unique story that deserves to be heard – and we want to guide you back to believing in yourself and your ability to navigate the challenges ahead. You don’t have to do this alone. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, your values, and your direction.
Our Approach
At Renewed Wellness, all of our therapists take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy. This means we see you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. We understand that your well-being is shaped by everything—from your past experiences and current stressors to your health and relationships. We don’t just look at your symptoms; we explore your story, your environment, and everything that makes you, you.
We’ll work together to address the root causes of what’s holding you back and help you develop the tools to create lasting change. Your healing isn’t just about managing symptoms; it’s about reconnecting with the deepest parts of yourself and finding true balance.
Healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. That’s why at Renewed Wellness, we work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your unique life. It’s time to stop putting yourself last. You deserve to feel better, to be seen, and to get the support you need.
If you’re ready to start your journey to a renewed sense of well-being, I invite you to reach out. Let’s create the space you need to heal—together.
