Leslie Rostek, LCSWA, therapist at Renewed Wellness Counseling

Leslie Rostek, LCSWA

I specialize in working with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, ADHD, and the pressure of trying to keep up with daily life.

You probably find yourself overthinking, starting tasks but not finishing them, or feeling like your brain is always one step ahead of you.

Some days feel productive, and other days it feels hard to even get started. By the end of the day, you might wonder where the time went.

I offer therapy in New Bern and provide virtual therapy across North Carolina, making support accessible wherever you are.

I focus on helping you recognize patterns like overthinking, time management struggles, or feeling stuck.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my husband and two kids. I enjoy getting outside, going for walks, spending time at the beach, and swimming. I also love animals and have a mix of pets at home, including cats, dogs, and a snake.

What We Can Work On Together

In our work together, we focus on what is actually getting in your way day to day.

We will talk through what is going on, process what feels stuck, and also focus on solutions that you can actually use outside of session.

That might look like:

Getting a better handle on racing thoughts and anxiety

Figuring out why tasks feel hard to start or finish

Improving focus and follow-through

Building routines that feel realistic, not rigid

Understanding how stress shows up in your body and how to respond to it

Let’s make things feel more manageable!

If this feels like what you’ve been looking for, I’d love to connect.

How I Help

My style is relaxed and conversational. I will meet you where you are, but I will also help guide you forward. I tend to be direct, but always in a way that feels supportive and respectful.

Some days might feel more reflective. Others might be more focused on problem-solving. Both are part of the process.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Helps you notice patterns in your thinking and learn how to shift them.

Somatic Exercises

Focuses on where stress shows up in your body and how to respond.

Mindfulness

Helps you slow things down and stay more present in the moment.
