I want you to speak your truth, learn to say no and set limits with others so you no longer participate in situations that no longer serve you.
Most of all, I want you to heal.
I have so much admiration for the human spirit and the inner strength people possess. I’m honored that others allow me to see them fully and completely and the courage it takes to trust. I love witnessing the changes and the growth that is made through the therapeutic process. Our Therapy Sessions are Focused on You
These are difficult times. So much has changed and continues to change. With so much uncertainty, it’s only natural you may be struggling with sadness, anxiety and grief.
It’s important to find the root cause for struggles.

I ask clients to question everything they have accepted, including values, beliefs and their thought processes. I want you to be able to focus on what makes you uniquely you and encourage you to explore and express all your emotions.

I’ll challenge you to reclaim your life, learn self-compassion and learn to be more comfortable with discomfort.

I tend to not disclose during your sessions. If you have questions, I am willing to answer them but I prefer that you to be the focus of therapy. Many of my clients have spent a lifetime of putting others needs ahead of themselves. My hope is that therapy will offer you the space you need to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My Professional Background
I attended High Point University and received a Psychology degree. I later attended Spalding University to complete my Master of Social Work degree.
I come from a medical background and only use interventions and modalities that are evidence- based practices. Research is an important aspect of the therapy I provide. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions. I am a certified Pain Reprocessing Therapy specialist as well as Complex PTSD certified and able to treat and process trauma.
Outside of my role as therapist, I enjoy reading, walking, traveling, and listening to music. Studying alternative healing/holistic modalities is very interesting and I bring this passion into my therapy sessions with my chronic pain and chronic illness clients. This interest and passion led me to pursue training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy which has been very beneficial for myself personally as well as my chronic pain clients.
